The cap lid jar remains elusive for me. It’s hard for me to make it right. Too often I make the lid too large and it looks visually heavy. Or it’s size doesn’t allow the lid to fit nice and snug but can hang from the top like an old worn our pair of socks. But it’s a shape and form I’m drawn to and will continue to refine.

This pot is a lovely exception. The cap lid jar has a well fitting, proportional lid and also was beautifully fired. I enjoy the ash drip running down the jar and the bright warmth of the glaze.

This jar is 8” in height.
