Have you been having your friends over for an outside meal? Wondering what is the best way to bring your spirits from the inside to the outside as you stand around the fire pit, post dinner, six feet apart? How about a wheel thrown, wood fired, salt glazed, stoneware flask?

While we’re at it, allow me a moment to talk about this glaze. It’s a white glaze. But all of the copper flying around in the kiln has turned this glaze into a subtle matte green. Amazing.
If we were together, able to be closer than six feet apart, better yet, able to share the use of this flask, we would look at the subtle crystals in the glaze that grew as the kiln cooled. We would also notice the white slip underneath the glaze and how you can see my finger prints from when I dunked the flask into a bucket of white slip.
